Zigbang, a leading South Korean proptech company, has launched its latest smart door lock, Haven (model ZD-R90), offering a fully keypad-free experience. Designed for seamless and secure access, Haven allows users to unlock doors by simply tapping their smartphones against the device—eliminating the need for traditional numeric keypads.
Haven leverages Mobile Key Tag technology, which uses the same asymmetric encryption standard adopted by global tech leaders such as Apple and Google. Certified under the FIDO authentication framework, the system combines a private key stored on the user’s smartphone with a public key on an authentication server to ensure strong, tamper-resistant security.
In addition to cryptographic authentication, Haven features AI-powered facial recognition for enhanced physical security. Its adaptive camera system continuously learns and identifies authorized users in various lighting and environmental conditions, and supports a height detection range between 110 cm and 185 cm for broader accessibility.
The Zigbang Smart Home app serves as the control hub for Haven, enabling users to track real-time lock activity, monitor entry and exit records, and manage settings with an intuitive interface across devices.
“This makes Haven especially useful for working parents, households with frequent visitors, and families with school-aged children who come and go independently,” a Zigbang representative said.
Haven will debut simultaneously in Singapore and Hong Kong, with plans for expansion into China, Taiwan, Australia, Malaysia, and Thailand. The Zigbang Smart Home app supports multiple languages and has been optimized for international users.
Looking ahead, Zigbang plans to introduce additional smart locks and intercom systems designed for multi-family residential buildings.
“Our goal is to redefine smart home living through AI-driven innovation,” said Zigbang CEO Sungwoo Ahn. “With proven technology and operational know-how, we’re positioning Zigbang as a global smart home leader.”
