Zigbang, a leading South Korean proptech firm, has unveiled a new corporate identity (CI) under the slogan “Beyond Home,” marking its first logo change since launching the service in 2012.
At a media event held Tuesday, CEO Ahn Sung-woo introduced the new brand direction, outlining Zigbang’s future vision in smart home innovation. The new logo features a house-shaped icon encircled by an expanding ellipse—symbolizing the company’s aim to extend the residential experience through proptech. While retaining its signature orange, the updated tone presents a deeper, more premium color. The logo also replaces the Korean name with the English wordmark “zigbang,” signaling the company’s global ambitions.
“We aimed to create an identity that reflects our expanded scope,” said Ahn. “Zigbang will continue to lead as a lifestyle-driven proptech company, delivering value far beyond traditional real estate services.”
Zigbang also unveiled the SHP-R80, the world’s first smart door lock integrated with Samsung Pay, developed in collaboration with Samsung Electronics. The device uses Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technology to unlock automatically when a user carrying a registered smartphone approaches, eliminating the need for NFC tagging. The system improves accuracy by measuring phone proximity in centimeters and employs encrypted communication for enhanced security.
“Our smart home solutions are already leading in markets like Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Australia,” said Kang Sang-woo, Executive Vice President of Zigbang Smart Home. “With advanced technologies like Samsung Pay integration and UWB, we aim to strengthen our position in global markets including China and North America.”
Zigbang plans to accelerate its smart home business based on its July 2022 acquisition of Samsung SDS’s home IoT division. The company aims to integrate its proprietary software with premium hardware products such as door locks and wall pads to create a full-scale smart home platform.
“Our next chapter goes beyond listings—we’re building the Home OS,” said Ahn. “Zigbang will evolve into a proptech company that supports every part of the residential experience, from home search to home life.”
