South Korean proptech firm Zigbang has signed a supply agreement with Vietnam’s Vinlock as it accelerates its smart home product expansion into emerging global markets.
Zigbang said its smart home division recently signed a supply deal with Vinlock, a major Vietnamese distributor of digital door locks and home network systems tailored for multi-unit residential complexes.
The agreement marks the latest step in Zigbang’s efforts to grow its smart home footprint beyond Asia. The company is also in talks with Mexico’s Rish Group over a similar supply arrangement.
If the deal proceeds, Zigbang’s smart home lineup will be available in nine global markets, adding Vietnam and Mexico to its growing presence across Asia-Pacific.
Vietnam’s smart home security market is expected to see significant growth, with Korea’s trade agency KOTRA projecting the country will account for over 15% of Southeast Asia’s market by 2025. In Mexico, rising demand for home security solutions is fueling interest in high-end digital locks.
Zigbang’s flagship exports include four premium smart lock models, led by the SHP-P52, which debuted last April. All models feature built-in Wi-Fi for smartphone connectivity, push-pull designs, and fingerprint recognition for secure access—along with advanced security features such as real-time alerts and intrusion detection.
Zigbang’s push into international markets follows its 2022 acquisition of Samsung SDS’s home IoT division. Rather than casting a wide net, the company has focused on select high-potential countries where demand for smart home technology is already strong. Looking ahead, Zigbang plans to build on this momentum by bolstering its brand presence in key markets while exploring new global opportunities.
“By focusing our efforts on markets with solid demand and established infrastructure, we’ve been able to lay the groundwork for expansion into emerging regions like Vietnam and Mexico,” said Ahn Sung-woo, CEO of Zigbang. “With our security-first technology at the core, we aim to grow our footprint as a trusted leader in the global smart home ecosystem.”
