Zigbang Smart Home, a leading South Korean proptech firm, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with SK Shieldus to jointly develop integrated home security solutions. The strategic partnership combines Zigbang’s smart home technology with SK Shieldus’s AI-driven security services, aiming to provide seamless protection and convenience for multi-family residences and individual households.
The collaboration will span several initiatives, including co-branded product development for one-room apartments and villas, integration of Zigbang’s platform with SK Shieldus’s AI-powered systems, and joint sales and distribution strategies targeting both rental property owners and general consumers. The first co-developed security package is scheduled to launch in the second half of 2025.
Zigbang’s smart home ecosystem enables mobile-based access management for apartment buildings and individual units, connecting digital door locks, wall pads, and lobby intercoms through a unified app. Through this partnership, Zigbang will incorporate SK Shieldus’s security technologies, including the Caps Home AI CCTV system, ADT Caps emergency response services, and additional coverage offerings.
Both companies also plan to explore next-generation smart lock models with built-in security features and tighter app-level integration to meet the growing demand for high-performance residential security solutions. The partnership is expected to deliver new value to residential developers and accelerate smart home adoption across South Korea.
“Safety is central to our smart home vision,” said Jinwoo Jung, Vice President of Zigbang Smart Home. “This partnership marks a step forward in delivering seamless, intelligent security for modern living.”
