Zigbang, South Korea’s leading proptech firm, has officially entered the Middle East market through a strategic partnership with Saudi Arabia’s National Housing Company (NHC). The collaboration is part of Saudi Vision 2030, the Kingdom’s initiative to modernize its real estate and housing infrastructure.

The agreement, signed in Riyadh on February 9, outlines key areas of cooperation, including the introduction of smart home systems such as digital door locks and wall pads, potential involvement in Saudi Arabia’s NEOM smart city project, and the development of a metaverse-based housing management platform.

NHC is a state-owned enterprise under the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, leading real estate investment and development efforts across Saudi Arabia. According to Rayan Alaql, NHC’s Vice President, Zigbang’s expertise in proptech, metaverse applications, and smart home solutions will play a vital role in advancing the Kingdom’s digital housing transformation.

The partnership was also showcased at LEAP 2023, a global tech event held in Riyadh, where Zigbang participated as an NHC partner. During the exhibition, Saudi housing officials, including Minister Majed Al-Hogail, experienced Zigbang’s smart home products and its virtual office platform, SOMA, firsthand.

Looking ahead, Zigbang plans to establish a dedicated Middle East task force to expand its presence in the region. The company is also exploring additional partnerships in the United Arab Emirates, supporting its broader goal of becoming a global player in smart home and proptech solutions.
